Creamed Potatoes

I made these potatoes quite often when we lived in St. Louis. For some reason, haven’t prepared them lately. I remember everybody liked them then.

Creamed Potatoes

Servings 4


  • ¾ kg potatoes
  • 1 tablespoon margarine or butter
  • 4 dl milk
  • Salt white pepper
  • Finely chopped parsley


  • Wash and peel the potatoes.
  • Cut in slices or cubes.
  • In a kettle, bring the milk and margarine or butter to a boil.
  • Add the potatoes and cook, covered, till tender.
  • Season to taste with salt and pepper.
  • Sprinkle with chopped parsley.
  • Serve with fried meat or fish.
