Aromatic Roasted Vegetable Dressing
For years, we made this dressing as well as the instant Stove Top variety, which was your favorite. As you grew up, you learned to appreciate this fine dish, and Stove Top went out of the Thanksgiving menu. Photo by jarrodlombardo
Green Beans
This is an old recipe from Nona. You can tell by the use of comino and garlic. That was the best and only way we knew to get you guys to eat vegetables (or pretty much anything green) when you were little. Photo by Jimmy_Joe
Mashed Potatoes
Mrs. G was in charge of the mashed potatoes for our shared Thanksgiving celebrations for many years. This is not Mrs. G’s recipe, which will probably go with her to the grave, but a good substitute we have prepared in other occasions. Photo by sousvideguy
Orange and Herb Seasoned Roasted Turkey
Through the years, we have altered this recipe to its present state adding the comino, salt and garlic. It is important to let the turkey marinate in this flavors, at least overnight. Photo by kimberlykv
Sweet Potato Soufflé
An unusually low calorie version, this dish has become a must at our Thanksgiving table. We have made it also to accompany pork roasts, served with a salad. Delicious! Photo by Pseph
Cranberry Fruit Salad
Thanks to Susie Marks for this recipe, this became part of our holiday tradition. Susie has worked with me at Pine Crest, and has been my dear friend for a good number of years.
Serious Eats Spice-Rubbed Butterflied Smoked Turkey
This has become the family’s favorite second turkey, when we have enough guests to need two. It’s such a nice, different flavor than the regular roasted turkey. Photo by joyosity
